Aims of the course:
This course is designed for people who wish to develop their skills and career in IT. This level is the academic equivalent to Year 2 of a UK university honours degree and is recognized by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as level 5.
How long is the course:
The duration of this course in 1 Year but BCS recommends a minimum of 225 hours study per module and the course culminates in a 2 hour written exam focusing on one of core module and each of the three optional modules.

By beginning the Diploma in IT level course BCS assumes knowledge of the Certificate in IT
Assessment and Qualification you will achieve:
Course will be assessed and examined by accreditation body BCS (British Computer Society). Examination sittings are held twice a year in October and April.
What are the opportunities for further studies?
There are progression routes from Diploma to Professional Graduate Diploma level 6 which is equivalent to year 3 of a UK University honours degree.
