Aims of the course:
If you already have a sound knowledge of computing and want to improve your ICT skills for real life business and office environments, then this course is suitable for you. Advanced features such as the integration of applications and advanced database development will enable you to maintain customer records and correspondence with ease. This course may lead you to degree level course.
How long is the course:
This course is designed for 15 to 21 hours study per week for 12 months. However alterations may be made to the weekly study hours, which may alter the overall number of weeks for the course. You will by studying Computing and English language.
Qualification requirements:
G.C.S.E or equivalent qualification is essential. Students are expected to have a sound knowledge of computing or have taken City & Guilds Diploma. You should have a good understanding of basic mathematical operations and of English. A positive attitude and high degree of self-motivation are required to complete the course.All the documents should be verified by the Foreign Office.
Assessment and Qualification you will achieve:
The course is assessed by the use of practical assignments and multiple-choice questions. You will obtain the City & Guilds 7262 scheme Advance Diploma for IT Users. A copy of the full syllabus can be obtained on request.
What are the opportunities for further studies?
This course is equivalent to NVQ level 3 or 2 A levels. You can either study to the next NVQ level or do a degree course (B.Sc) at a university. Please note that to go to university you will need to have passed G.C.S.E in Maths and English.

Application can be made online or by calling into the office and completing an application form. You will be contacted before the commencement of the course, either by phone or by letter to finalise your enrolment. You can apply 2 months before our intake of September, October, January and April.
