Aims of the course:
This diploma will provide candidates with a detailed knowledge of strategic marketing planning and management. The first part of the course considers the planned deployment of marketing resources to meet strategic marketing goals in the context of an 'external environment' which is largely outside the organisation's control. In the second part of the course, the various steps in the strategic marketing process will be examined in depth, including environmental analysis, strategy formulation, and implementation & control, Candidates will then develop knowledge of how to manage the strategy for maximum value.
How long is the course:
1 year. The course is module based, there are 4 modules.3 modules are complusory and 1 is optional. Students will study a minimum of 15 hours per week for each academic year.
Qualification requirements:
A relevant qualification at Level 5 or higher
Assessment and Qualification you will achieve:
The course culminates in a 3 hours written exam focusing on all the indivual 3 core modules and each of the 1 optional modules of your choice.
What are the opportunities for further studies?
This level is the academic equivalent to Year 3 of a UK university honours degree. It is recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 6.
